Looking for more punch out of your dogs food? Introducing Legacy HIGH ENERGY with 17% fat. This blend was created using fattier cuts of beef along with the same organ and bone mix found in our best selling BLT & Bone blend to create a high energy, high calorie (53 calorie/oz) product designed specifically for dogs needing extra energy. A great high energy source for:
- dogs with high metabolism
- working dogs or dogs constantly on the go
- dogs having trouble keeping weight
- hunting dogs during hunting season
- competition dogs
- nursing mothers.
High Energy Breakdown: 68% raw muscle beef (17% fat), 10% washed fatty tripe, 10% ground beef bone, 5% liver, 2.5% spleen, 2.5% kidney, 2% heart
High Energy; due to the higher percentage of fat within this blend, dogs needing that extra kick will burn the readily accessible fat from the blend for energy quicker and easier than using stored protein ensuring greater performance.
Use the chart below to understand how much Legacy HIGH ENERGY your dog will consume on a daily & monthly basis. This chart is based on feeding 4% of your dogs weight daily. 4% is for a very active working dog. Feeding percentage will vary based on breed, age and activity level of your dog. A healthy range can be from 2-4% based on the criteria above.

While there are many dog owners that exclusively feed their dogs Midwest Legacy Beef products, we recognize that every dog's nutritional needs are different.
Midwest Legacy Beef can serve as the optimal base for more complex recipes. You can add blueberries, sweet potatoes, rice, or any other natural dog-safe ingredient you'd like.

Packaging & Serving

Raw orders will be sent out frozen and tightly packed in an 1.5 inch thick cooler. Once you receive your order, simply freeze anything you don't plan on using immediately.
If any of your products arrive thawed or starting to defrost, this is perfectly fine and safe! You do not need to worry or panic. It is perfectly safe to thaw and re-freeze pet food.
When you are ready to feed your pup, simply pull the package out of the freezer 24 hours before, thaw, then serve!
Freeze Dry orders will ship separate from raw orders. Freeze dry is shelf stable and can simply be stored in a cool place out of direct sunlight.
When ready to feed freeze dry, mix the freeze dry with 2-3 times the amount of warm water to reconstitute, then fold or reseal the bag.

Shipping rates for all raw blends are$10.00 - $20.00 per case depending on location. Freeze dry shipping rates vary and decrease per oz as bag quantity increases.

We ship our fresh, frozen dog food on Mondays via the UPS or Fedex. Freeze dry orders will ship separate and within 2 business days of purchase.
Raw orders must be placed before 10am (CST) on Monday to be shipped that Monday. Freeze dry orders will ship Monday-Friday
Any raw orders received after 10am (CST) on a Monday will ship the following Monday.
We take the guess work out of shipping for you by offering auto-delivery subscriptions. Just sign up once, and we'll deliver your order on the schedule you choose.

If a holiday lands any time during the week, we will still plan shipping that week. Shipments may either leave on Tuesday as a result of the holiday being Monday, or take an extra day to arrive if shipped on a Monday and the holiday is midweek (July 4th).
Holidays include: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day
