This free range chicken free of antibiotics, hormones and other additives is sourced by our Midwest Legacy Team and prepared in a separate facility from our beef products, Midwest Legacy Chicken is the perfect choice for those looking to mix in an alternative protein source into their pets diet or for those tired of the quality of their current chicken source.

Each carcass is sourced by our team and processed in a dedicated poultry facility, ground and tubed by hand, then flash-frozen at -30°F using the same sanitation protocols as human consumption facilities.
Natural Bone Content: The natural bone content is carefully maintained through our whole carcass processing. This whole food approach helps support strong bones and healthy teeth through natural nutrition.

Use the chart below to understand how much Legacy Chicken your dog will consume on a daily & monthly basis. This chart is based on feeding 4% of your dogs weight daily. 4% is for a very active working dog. Feeding percentage will vary based on breed, age and activity level of your dog. A healthy range can be from 2-4% based on the criteria above.

While there are many dog owners that exclusively feed their dogs Midwest Legacy Beef products, we recognize that every dog's nutritional needs are different.
Midwest Legacy Beef can serve as the optimal base for more complex recipes. You can add blueberries, sweet potatoes, rice, or any other natural dog-safe ingredient you'd like.
Please consult with your veterinarian based on your dog's unique needs.

Raw orders will be sent out frozen and tightly packed in an 1.5 inch thick cooler. Once you receive your order, simply freeze anything you don't plan on using immediately.
If any of your products arrive thawed or starting to defrost, this is perfectly fine and safe! You do not need to worry or panic. It is perfectly safe to thaw and re-freeze pet food.
When you are ready to feed your pup, simply pull the package out of the freezer 24 hours before, thaw, then serve!
Freeze Dry orders will ship separate from raw orders. Freeze dry is shelf stable and can simply be stored in a cool place out of direct sunlight.
When ready to feed freeze dry, mix the freeze dry with 2-3 times the amount of warm water to reconstitute, then fold or reseal the bag.

Shipping rates for all raw blends are$10.00 - $20.00 per case depending on location. Freeze dry shipping rates vary and decrease per oz as bag quantity increases.

We ship our fresh, frozen dog food on Mondays via the UPS or Fedex. Freeze dry orders will ship separate and within 2 business days of purchase.
Raw orders must be placed before 10am (CST) on Monday to be shipped that Monday. Freeze dry orders will ship Monday-Friday
Any raw orders received after 10am (CST) on a Monday will ship the following Monday.
We take the guess work out of shipping for you by offering auto-delivery subscriptions. Just sign up once, and we'll deliver your order on the schedule you choose.

If a holiday lands any time during the week, we will still plan shipping that week. Shipments may either leave on Tuesday as a result of the holiday being Monday, or take an extra day to arrive if shipped on a Monday and the holiday is midweek (July 4th).
Holidays include: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day
